Thanks for the useful information I viewed on the site. After I had checked voltages from the stator, reduced the spark plug gap and checked for arcing in the dark I then read the article on replacing the the innards of the spark plug caps and it solved my problems. I can now red line the old girl again. THANKS Rohan.
