This morning I was getting ready for work, in a hurry as usual, before dawn. I dragged my GL500 Silverwing out and pulled out the choke full, then started the bike. It cranked immediately, then stumbled a few times and quit. It restarted immediately and then quit again. Of course I'm standing out in the driveway in the dark so I couldn't see immediately what was happening. It appears the choke was slipping right back in as soon as I released the knob.
I've never had the choke slip before. I'm going to have the same problem tomorrow morning if I don't find an easy fix for it between now and then. Unfortunately, my work shift is 12 hours so I won't have a lot of time to play around with it tonight after work.
Does anybody have an ideas why it's slipping? More to the point, does anybody have any idea how to make it stop?
