CX500 GL500 650 Global

I have an 81 CX500c that is not running correct. After the bike warms up it develops a miss fire that is heard thru the exhaust. I have checked the carbs for leaks and replaced the resistor in the spark plug caps with the solid bar. None of this has corrected the problem. The bike runs fine cold and revs freely the only time the problem is present is on a steady cruise around 4000-4500 rpm with the bike fully warmed up. Where do I look next? I don't want to just replace parts I want to fix the problem. Coils? Diode at coils? help

Start with a basic tune, but if the car works well in a cold start, you might want to see the evolution of IGN. module and the coil. Another cause could be the oxygen sensors, one on each exhaust are manifold.Good luck.

It may be a spam bot or a guy who doesn't realize we don't have Oxygen sensors on our bikes<grin>
