I felt at a "loss" last night when trying to get on "The best self-help forum this side the Pond". In the 3 er 4 years I have been a member on Chopper Charles, I have come to consider the place like "home". A place to come and tell stories and tell lies (lol), and get some of the best information/tips/and tricks about keeping "these old bikes" running and performing smoothly

This is the second time in about as many years that the forum has been "locked out", due to space issues. And wanting to have someplace to come and swap lies and share expieriences, maybe it's time we make this the "BEST self-help forum fo these old bikes" on the whole FRIGGING PLANET......Lol

Tried to get an avatar up of my bike.but not sure if I succeeeded or not.

Welcome Bearman.I started this forum as a back up to other forums and as repository for information.I doubt it will ever be like CC's but then that was not it's intention.I can fully understand CC not doing much on the forum after the loss of his father and it's human nature to lose interest things when circumstances change.
I'm an honest bloke,or try to be and if I stopped running CXs I reckon my interest would lessen. However as I like these bikes and they suit my needs I highly doubt I'll be running anything else for a while if ever, however this is a little bike I have my eyes on should the money come my way,

Yes, I remember when I first found CC's forum that someone in there was not doing very well at all, and wasn't expected to make it much longer. It wasn't until a while later I realized t'was CC's dad. And I can relate, having lost my wife from brain cancer in '06, and my mom a month earlier from diabetes. And, I imagine CC was honored in doing the forum for his dad. But, life goes on, ya know? And, as time goes on, I would imagine that CC will learn to live with his loss, as we all must.

I wonder if CC or his dad ever thought that the forum would become as hugely successful as it has become? Or that it would require an "upgrade", DUE to its success? Even though, I am a firm subscriber to the mind-set that, it is largely due to the "deletion" of various "bells and whilstles" that would stream-line the "normal" internet expierience, that has KEPT CC's forum the "user-friendly" and "so darned helpful, ya just can't keep away from" ambiance that this "self-moderated" group of new AND old motorcycle enthuists, has become. Fact is, Shep, if NOT for CC's forum, I may have very likely gone (darest I say this in here?) Charley-Davidson. As most of the guys I know ride 'em. But, the way it is now? And from what I have learned from CC's forum? I consider it "there" honor to ride with ME!.....lol

Thaz a pretty nice lookin bike there, Shep. What kind is it and how big?.....etc. etc. etc.......lol
