1:I've always kept my old brake fluid as it's a great paint stripper for old small bits.

2:I've also used it for,"Liquid De-cokes".Just add about and egg-cup full to a cylinder,spin the engine on the Kill switch a couple of times and leave overnight.It will break down the carbon in the tops of the cylinders.The amount used is so small as it's won't contaminate the engine oil but If you are concerned about any brake fluid going into the oil just do an oil and filter change.I've never yet had a problem with this method.

3:Drop any rusted parts nuts and bolts into a jar of old brake fluid and leave.Then when you wire brush them the rust will fall away easy.

4:Old brake fluid can also help to un-seize rusted nuts and bolts.

Ok so a whole rattle can top for a twin engine.

Yep.Just fill up the top of a rattle can and pour half into each cylinder and spin the engine with the kill switch engaged.Leave over-night and then fire up.Once it's chucked the crap out check the plugs.
I used to use this over 30 years ago on my old BSA and Norton to keep the carbon inside the heads.You can't beat a proper strip and de-coke but if the bike is running well but not been done for ages it's keeps on top of it.

Just used brake fluid to free the stuck ceramic of mechanical seal on the camshaft! The bike has sat dry for years and the impeller and everything behind it is a mess. I PM'd Shep and he suggested brake fluid. Thanks for that tip!! The impeller is soaking in the stuff now. Hopefully it will look better after it's bath.
