I honestly don't think there's an issue.Both mine were loose and I used some ,"Super Glue" to lock them in place but even if it's missing I doubt it's critical.There's more abuse to these engines by bad servicing regimes in their lives usually before people who care about them get them.
Just keep to pre-emptive oil and coolant changes and cam chain adjustments(Manual cam-chain) and replacement when required and tappets etc,

Note:Both my running engine's clutches are 2nd hand parts from different crapped out engines I got off Ebay and they still don't seem to wear much and if they did the clutch plate kits are not expensive and still available as are the springs.
