Greetings, all...
Another crossover from Charles' boards, previously known as Lanispet there.
Picked up an '80 CX500C off of ebay two years ago, having never heard of them before seeing the auction, because I liked the looks of it and wanted something different to build a bobber/chopper out of. The more I learned about the bike, the more I liked it. My goal was to strip the bike to be as light as I could make it without sacrificing the way I want things to look, and learn a few things by doing. Oh, and bring the whole project in for less than $1000 net, as a reaction to all the $15-$20k choppers I see around here.

So, I made some progress on that, and along came a chance this June to buy four more CX500s, all partially stripped, all having sat outside for years, for $100 apiece. Since my brother-in-law wanted a bike, I would get to buy them with somebody else's money!

Thus, Project Armada was born

So, as usually happens, that project has pretty much taken over my life, and is chronicled here-

Cheers,
...dave
