Rear Brake Buzzing through pedal on CX500

I have a random buzz that is transmitted through the rear brake pedal. I have found no consistency to when it happens, but it is alarming when it does happen. Does anyone have a similar issue and has anyone found out what causes it. Thanks.

I had this early on with my CX.It was a brake shoe that had partially come away from it's lining.I fully stripped all the rear brake assembly(pretty easy) cleaned everything including the actuator arm and a light amount of grease on it.Then fitted new shoes(Not too expensive) and chamfered their leading edges a bit more than when they are supplied so they cannot catch and vibrate.I also put a light amount of grease on the supports that the shoes move on.
I also used some emery cloth/180 grit paper and sanded in the inside of the drum to make a little smoother as it had a few light grooves.

HTH :)

Thanks Shep,
That makes sense. I'll give it a try.

Tip:When re-fitting the rear wheel slack off the nuts/bolts that secure the Drive shaft unit to it's cover. This will allow the rear wheel to fit easier and then tighten them last as it also allows the rear wheel to,"Auto-align" so there's no chance of rear wheel,"Crabbing" though misalignment.
