Hi guys,
I am rebuilding my carbs after a full strip down & in the gasket set is an o ring I didn't recognise.
I have looked on a parts diagram & I think it comes from the fast idle screw but there is another part there which looks like a washer which I don't recognise either.
All that came out when I stripped it were the screw itself which steps down in diameter three times into a needle & a spring.
On the diagram it looks like there is a washer & an O-Ring. I presume the washer is to protect the O-Ring from the spring so the order of assembly would be O-Ring in first then washer then spring then screw/needle.
Can anyone tell me if this is correct please?
Also, as mine are presumably still in there should I leave them alone bearing in mind that the carbs have been ultra sonicly cleaned which as far as I know is not good for rubber?
If I should remove them & switch the O-Ring then how do I get the damn things out & is there any risk to the washer i.e. is it metal & how sturdy is it?
Any help is appreciated.
