CX500 GL500 650 Global

Hello everyone. I just purchased a CX500C for my wife, who is a new rider just going through motorcycle license class, as her first bike. I think I got a good deal on it as it's in fine running condition with only a few minor things to take care of. I look forward to meeting all of you here on the site and to learning more about this new addition to the stable!

I've owned my bike, an '82 CB900F, for just over 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I'm also a member over at www.cb1100f.net which is a great resource and community for the early '80's F bikes.

78 CX500

The old CB900s were another classic IMHO.Having ridden a pal's years ago they are pretty much,"Chalk-and-cheese" in style and handling and feel but I know what you mean.A well running CX is totally it's own experience.As I've never ridden a GL I can't speak on them.I like the ,"Naked" feel of of the CX with it's,"Butt Ugly<but great to me> engine sticking out.
Even today I was out trying to track down a problem I'm having(If I'm right it's a little weird one I've never had before and will post) and stopped at a little secluded Picnic spot to have a cig.There was a just Grandpa and Grandma and the young Mother kicking soccer ball around with a little 3/4 year old and the words from a kid's mouths can be golden.He shouted at them as I got off,"Mummy Mummy.Look a ,"Real" motorcycle
