CX500 GL500 650 Global

Hello Guys,having just bought a transistor ign engine,and having the parts to convert it to CDI ign I am wondering if this is worth doing,or should I just get a couple of spark units and run the t/i engine in my trike.I have no experience with t/i engines are the two systems about the same for reliability ect.Any comments please

It's pretty big and messy job to convert(Loom change etc).I'd get some sparker units.

In the long run I think you are better off with the TAI ignition and you can recoup some costs by selling the CDI parts in CC's buy and sell section/eBay as there's always a market/need for them

Just keep an eye out for Ebay bargains,

They seem to be a very robust unit so you should be OK with 2nd hand.
