Set Your Handlebars

Postby Gman » Sun May 29, 2011 5:52 pm

Everyone's build is different and many people assume the handlebars are correct. They are most likely not and id out even a couple of mm they can cause riding fatigue and make the bike harder to handle.

Get tools ready to adjust including tools for changing the angles of your Throttle and Clutch controls which will also affect your mirrors.

Bike on the centre-stand.

With your Riding gear on sit on the bike.

Slack off the securing bolts for the handlebars so they can be moved but not too slack.

Move them left then right full lock several times and back and forward a bit but make sure you keep them central. When you find the most comfortable angle/distance for yourself tighten them up.Then adjust controls accordingly.

Next ride if they are not right,do them again.
