CX500 GL500 650 Global

hi all!!!
right got a prob with me cx got power going up to the ingition block connector but nothing wen it's connected to the ingition switch (nothing on the bars work no horn/lights/starter button) tried a diffent switch but still nothing!!! any idears what may be the prob or how i can sort this?

Have you got a multimeter?
I would have gone for a bad connector but you haver said you have changed that :/

nope got no lights/horn/warning lights etc got power up to the connector (tried it with multimeter) but aint getting power wen its connexted to the ingition switch i'm at a complete loss at wot it could be as tried a few ingition switchs but stll nowt

I hate it when this kind of old crappy electric problems occur and I have qualifications in Electronic Servicing!
I can only suspect there's a wiring fault after the switch that is shorting/dumping current but then you would expect signs of arcing and fuse blowing somewhere.
I know it sounds strange but as a matter of course change the main fuse holder,

use cheap in-line ones from Maplins Electronic stores.Also there's a lighting fuse under the headstock Honda plate.Clean that and it's holder.Also with power on jiggle around in the Head light nacelle as there may be a ground wire off somewhere.
