Just bought a 1979 CX500 "for my wife" -- which we all know is code for "Hot damn... I just got another bike!"
I'm really psyched, because now I have a smaller fun ride at my fingertips, and I have a new riding partner.I currently also ride a '99 Kawasaki Concours, which is a fantastic bike, but man is it big and heavy. Great for commuting and supersonic cruising, but a bit of a task around town.
My first bike was a '74 CB 550 Four. Tangerine orange -- that was a great bike and the CX reminds me a bit of it... but I am just totally in love with this Flying-V powerplant.
My other bikes have been an '81 CB750F Super Sport (fast), and an '84 VFR 750 Interceptor (faster).
I'm somewhat of a gearhead: I do all the maintenance on my bikes and cars... and on my extended family's cars. I really enjoy turning wrenches and look forward to participating in this community.
