Thanks for apology but I've decided I shouldn't have included a Humour section as I want this forum to really concentrate on being an Archive of people's work they have done and to discuss if required their different procedures and for others just starting out on their journey with the CX/GLs to have a good starting point to solve problems and save time and money.
One of the great things about these bikes is that unlike many modern ones there's is little or nothing that even a novice,"Home Mechanic" cannot fix with knowledge and help from forums like these thus freeing themselves from being held ransom by Over-priced garages which I do respect have to make a living howerver there are many jobs on the bikes that almost anyone with a bit of common sense can do.
There is also the satisfaction of knowing that the owner has done the job and can trust their own abilities as their confidence grows and not rely on someone else.
These skills also transfer to automobiles thus saving even more money for simple jobs that some people would have paid out a lot of money for
