If that ring is broken for some reason some have glued them or placed clamps around it to get it to continue working. But I am a firm believer in replacing it if it's broken.

Is your choke knob not staying put? Well the fix is simple. Most people don't know that the choke has a ring on it that when turned to the right or left makes the knob harder or easier to pull out and hold its position.
If that ring is broken for some reason some have glued them or placed clamps around it to get it to continue working. But I am a firm believer in replacing it if it's broken.
