A couple of days ago I was lamenting what I thought was the permanent demise of Chopper Charles when I happened upon this site and presto! - all of the CX ninjas from CC seemed to be here aswell. Big relief as I'm in the middle of a carb clean which, without this place, would be almost impossible for a greenhorn like me. There's a question I have which I'll ask here just in case any of you know and post the question in the relevant section too :- I would like to follow the advice for replacing the 'hard to get to' screw on the float chamber (the inside one of the three) with a hex screw so would like to know what size/spec I should get? More importantly, how do I find out for myself - apart from just trying several til one fits - my usual method |

You can go to a local nut and bolt supplier(Yellow pages) and they are a Metric M4 Allen bolt/screw.Or you can get them off Ebay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/M4-x-16-STAINLESS ... 335981d423 If too long just hacksaw down I've actually replaced all the screws on mine with them as they don't wear like Phillips screws. |

Welcome back, Is Larry the carb builder, back here yet.? He printed a great book on the carbs, got one sent to Australia, and its awesome. Has all jet sizes, bolts etc in picture form. Just a thought if you're new the Keihin species. Bear. |
