CX500 GL500 650 Global

I am trying to figure out the year of my bike.

The Engine number is PC01E-23101-96

The closest thing i found was this

1982 CX500C
- Frame: JH2PC0109CM300001
- Engine: PC01E-2300001 [more]

Very similar Engine number - do you think I have a 1982 CX500C?
I'm pretty confident it's a custom, and there only appears to be four wires coming from the Alternator (3 yellow + a green) - that seems to match the NON-CDI model?

I am slowly getting the hang of the electronics anyway, so I should be OK.

Have you looked at the tag on the front of the frame? Should be a plate there with the year and vin#.
