Hi, Tim here. I live near Tampa Florida. Just bought an 82 GL 500 that needs some work. First of all the tank needed to be replaced as it was rusted up too bad internally to salvage. Bought a used tank that came with a really nice cap. And as expected the ignition key I have for my bike will not work in the new cap. Does anyone know how to possibly remove the locking mechanism out of my old cap and put it in this pretty new cap? Thanks Tim |
