On my CX500 right side it seems like the coil may be going out but I get spark but it doesn't seem to fire. It seems to come and go, will a coil do that or should I try a new plug wire?

Thanks,

Tim...

Update. I just found a picture of the plug cap disassembled. Seriously? I'll start cleaning parts first, had no idea.

I can't get it apart. The resistor comes out but the rest is stuck in side. Tried soaking it with WD40 still no luck and I don't have another one. I don't want to break anything so I've not been too aggressive.

Thanks'

As you haven't put your model or location I'm not sure where you are Tim?

Anyhoo. The plugs caps seem a little sparse in the USA and Wemoto post to the US and are a trusted International seller. If you get these ones,

http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/honda/cx_50 ... _plug_cap/

They are the better/simpler ones I use and don't have the complicated resistor system in them.

But then you should change your Spark plugs to ,"R" rated resistor plugs Standard or Iridium NGK as per,

http://www.pdsrecording.site90.com/cxgl500/Plugs.htm

If there is anything else you need for your bike buy that as wellto help with the wait and postage but change to your model for other bits.
