Post subject:  Hello from Seattle, WA

Hey I'm new to motorcycles, new to CX, new to stator failure :)

Just wanted to say a Thank You to Shep and the many others who have posted such a breadth of information that even a knucklehead, like me, can start to understand it. I'm brave enough to work on the bike myself, but keenly aware that I could easily get in over my head.

I'm starting to think that someone might live in the area that could help me out. I wish I lived in Wisconsin, does everyone there own a CX ? ;)

Anyway off I go -- blindfold and all !!!

yea it really is great weather around here lately. I'm an Arborist - out in it, rain or shine, and will never complain about 80s or 90s with no cloud in the sky. Seattle sees it fair share of rain and clouds. how did you come to hear of the nice weather?

Ha Ha Ha! No they don't...in fact there are so many Harley's here,(logical since they make them here) I feel out of place. Haven't seen any CX's here in my town yet...but I do see many Wisconsin owners on ChopperCharles, huh.
Tell you what..I would rather be living back in the N.West,,,so I will trade homes,,,OK? :D Welcome to this site.-Rog (aka oldgeezR)

haha you guys are great ! A laugh feels nice, nearly forgot why "I came into the office" today ?? Some days I swear it feels like work. I'm not sure what a desk job is like... but reading, researching, LEARNING is not in my typical day :) :)
so where did you live in the NW, Rog? I wouldn't expect you to see any CX's out in Wisconsin... I've read all their posts ! ! They're in a world of hurt out there ;) ohhhh oops So am I

I lived in Seattle for about 1yr.,in 1977...long enough to become a Seahawk Fan,which I still am...Big Time! Not long after that I lived in Ashland,Or. for about 5yrs,then moved up to the "Gorge" on the Columbia river not far from Cascade Locks. My brother lived in Seattle for 18 years, moved down to Oregon too,for about 20 years but just moved back to Seattle last week. I have a nephew in Bellingham...and my oldest son lives outside of Redding,Ca. in Round Mountain.Ca.,a very small "township" out in the middle of nowhere...so I have many reasons to want to be back there.
Just to see my Seahawks play regular is good enough reason to move back! :D Maybe soon. Have a good1-Rog
