Faster Firefox!!

Postby Gman » Tue Jun 08, 2010 1:53 pm

I have used Firefox for years and love it but have always been a little miffed with how slow it loads 1st time before it's cached compared with IE.

Just found a great tip on how to speed it up and also this has increased surfing page loading.

Right click on any Firefox short cut/Properties/Find target and right click on the firefox.exe/Properties/Compatibility and change to run in Win 2000 mode.

If it doesn't work for you just go back to the default.

It's working great here.I did have to re-enter a password on a site but it also cured another site of not saving them :)

Try this also. Goto your firefox icon and rt clk and hit properties. go to the target line and click the end of it. type" (space)/prefetch:1" then hit OK.
