I think what he has is a 1981 Cx500 custom. All I really remember is that it is red, has air shocks, and a rack on the back.

Yup, what Blindstich says.
I have a low mileage(9500) 1981 Custom with a HondaLine rack.
I did a lot of riding back in the early 80s on a nice 81 750F with a sport kit and Shoei fairing.
