This is how the teeth should mesh correctly before re-fitting the Rear case on a Cx/GL500,



Don't forget the small thrust washer that goes under the left hand part otherwise the gear lever will not engage correctly.The Oil seal for the gear change drive spline through the case can be changed with the engine in place from the outside.
