CX500 GL500 650 Global

I thought I'd post an image of the three different rear brake assemblies I have here. Not sure how useful this might be as a reference, but I would like to know which ones fit what.

I believe the shiny one at the top is from an 80-82 Custom model and appears to be identical to the assembly on my '82 GL500 (I have not torn down the GL for a direct, side-by-side comparison though).

Can any one else determine what years/models these various assemblies came off of?
Do you guys think these three assemblies cover all of the standard US 500 models (non-euro/turbo/650 etc.) or are there others?

The only one I know are mine which is the same on both my UK cxs which is the top-unpainted alloy one in your pictures.

The top one covers the CX's. Good luck on ID for the 2 black ones. Not anything I recognize.

BTW, if your going to polish it as it says on it, use fine sandpaper after you strip the paint off. These are made of a VERY hard alloy, and are hard to buff out. They take a lot of time.

I was thinking about dragging out the polishing stuff over the winter. Not something I'm looking forward to, but dang Larry, every time I see a pic of your bike, I drop another part in the 'to be polished' bin!! Looks like it's gonna be loooong winter!

Now I'm curious what the other two could be. They look really rough like they were manufactured in the early 70's but im not sure.

Maybe take them to a salvage yard and see if they have any ideas.

Are you sure the bottom two came from CX/GL models? I've got a pretty good assortment of standard US CX/GL500s, and they all look like the upper one.

The bottom right one look exactly the same as my CB250RS

No, I have no idea what the black ones are from, I got them in a mix of CX parts. They were the only pieces I could not associate with CX/GL bikes, but I thought I saw an image somewhere of an early CX model (78?) with a smooth black cover. Must have been hallucinating (again). If anything significant comes up with these I will follow up.
