Cleaned carbs, Idle too High

Correctly servicing the Carburettors on these bikes is paramount to good running and fuel economy so any work done will pay back in better mileage :)

I cleaned the carbs before I left town. Emptied the bowls and when I came back it fired right up. Recently I may have left the petcock open and there was gas in the oil. Changed the oil today, now it is idling too high. Is this because there may be excess gas in the oil?
