Moly Compound/Grease

Postby Gman » Fri Jul 25, 2008 1:14 am

Amazing stuff and used in industrial lubricants on machines that run 24/7.

Great read on Wiki,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molybdenum_disulfide

It's also used by Crank experts when fitting new shells and Cam shafts etc,

and I use A moly based lubricant on my Cam shafts and big end bearings/shells when re-fitting.

Just putting in my new camshaft & read in the Honda factory manual that is what should be used so I'm off to buy some tomorrow!

It's well worth it for use on cam shafts and shells etc.The initial start up of newly installed components of this importance is paramount even if the components are re-used ones.
