Hello to everyone here.
Newbee to this site, but glad I goggled and found it. I hope it can help me with my lastest (winter) project, yea winter in Florida (ha)
I have owned several different models of motorcycles and consider myself to be a good mechanic when they needed reapirs or whatever to keep them running.
Just recently purchasaed 2 1979 Honda CX500 customs. Bike 1 is running good, but could use some good old fashion elbow grease to make it look better. Bike 2 however is giving me a few problems. No Spark at the plugs, lucky I found your site and discovered the plug wires has a resistor in them. I took these apart and true to somones posting there was a great deal of crud inside. I am going to have to locate some brass rod to replace the resistors and what was left of the rods.
I look forward to reading more in these posts concerning what to check next to get this bike up and running.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Ray :)
