Hello all. My name is Ken and I bought my CX650E new in 1983. I only have 22500 original Kms om my bike. It has sat for the last 18 or 19 years. I originally took it off the road because the cam chain tensioner went on it. About 1989 I opened it up and replaced the faulty part, but for some reason I never started it again. I stored it at a friends place but all of the caliper pistons popped out and the master cylinders are shot. I am currently fixing those. Also the carbs are going to be pulled off and cleaned. The gas tank has a few pin holes in it so it is being repaired. I am hoping to have it back on the road in September. Now that my kids have grown up I am so looking forward to riding again. |
