Howdy, folks! I'm known as Missourimike on numerous forums, live near Springfield, MO, home is known as GoldWing GraveYard. Got lots of them, a few actually run and are used. I'm retired HVAC Master, most of my years spent in Industrial Maint (3M and Motorola). Been wrenching and riding motorcycles for 50yrs. Got into GoldWings(1000 and 1100s) due to the need for cooler running, reliable riding.
Brought home my first GL500 last week. It actually is a runner, 47K miles, needing a little work(fork seals) and a good cleaning. 3 owners in the past year didn't like it. I wouldn't either, with no oil in the forks! I'll be needing some parts in the near future, besides the seals, and a manual for this bike.

Thanks for the Welcome and I'll be sure to save and use the links you've sent. I've got seals ordered already from z1enterprises.com whom I've used for other old Japanese bikes. George will get my order for a Haynes manual.

No picture of the bike. It was too dirty and needing some work and I immediately tore into it. Parts now scattered.
Ebay is one of my favorite haunts, been buying there for years, but I usually give first chance at parts with folks who support the Forums I peruse and those I've had good relationships with.

I've been absent from here for awhile, thought I'd update my activites from lately.
Sold the GL500 and it went to Florida. The this past summer I bought a CX500 barnfind, got it running and sold to a friend.
Just last week I came across a CX650C on craigslist, the bike was only 6 miles from my house! Fellow had to get it out of his apt. living room! Non-runner, of course, but intact with only a few missing parts. 29K miles. Clear title, and only $100!
Missing side covers, got one on order for the air cleaner side. I heard that someone is making copies of these side covers and am HIGHLY interested! Especially for the battery cover, which is made of "unobtainium" material. Anyone know of them? This bike is black color, also missing the license plate light and grabrail behind the seat. Missing also is the KEY to the ignition but found a source for a new OEM cut key to fit my lock number. So when the key arrives from England, I'll give it try and see if the motor responds.
