It could be the CDI but if you have a Multimeter test the coils even though you swapped them.Put the meter on 20k ohms and test between the thin LT(Low tension) wire and the plug cap inner.I should read anything between 7 and 13k ish.Then do the test again with the plug cap off.Then test the plug cap.It should have continuity or a very low resistance.

This will eliminate them from the problem.They can cause all sorts of problems even if they appear to look good.I've just had to swap a bad coil as it started to drag the right hand side down and also I've no really good spare plug caps left in my spares box so have just bought/sent for a couple.

Could it possibly be the Slide is worn out in the carb. What diamiter should they be? (Kiehin 30 mm)

On the Keihin 36A ones on my CX it should be around 31.3mm.I doubt that would stop the cylinder firing as the slides don't come into play until after the slow speed circuit but swap the slides with and needles over and see if anything changes?

Well it was the idle jet. I did not take that out for fear of ruining it. I should have done that in the first place. aaarrrggghhh! I thought the vinegar bath would have cleaned it good enough.

Glad you found it.Sometimes the parts need longer soaking or removing in extreme cases.The calcium/crud build up only has to block any of the tiny holes,jets or venturi to stop the carbs functioning correctly.
