Howdy all from Alberta, Canada.
Just purchased
a 79 CX 500 C with according to PO 5400 kilometers, was parked for some years.He buys little gems, in his words, and rebuilds them top to bottom.
So as a newbie I have a question already.
Having a new cam chain, gear, tensioner, the PO said it should be adjusted after 100-200km, as the chain will
seat and stretch a bit. Sounds fair, how do I ensure I have the left cylinder @ TDC on compression?
Is taking the cylinder head cover off, the only way? Or is the large viewing port hole by the adjustment bolt able to show this?
